What is the NDIS?

The NDIS stands for the National Disability Insurance Scheme. The NDIS provides government funding to people with disabilities (physical and/or mental) so they can purchase supports and services that help them with daily activities such as home cleaning and gardening. NDIS clients are referred to as participants, and can book services themselves, or sometimes a Support Coordinator or Carer will book on their behalf.
